What this website collects

This site has no visitor accounts, no forms, no analytics and no advertising or tracking cookies.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted by Google Firebase. When you visit, Google receives the technical information every browser sends, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Gig and video listings are stored in Google’s London data centre.

Settings saved on your device

If you switch between light and dark mode, or pause the background video, your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage so it’s remembered next time. These settings stay on your device, aren’t sent anywhere and aren’t used to track you. You can clear them at any time:

YouTube videos

The Videos page shows preview images from YouTube’s image server. A video only starts loading from YouTube when you press play, using YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode. Once it plays, YouTube may store information on your device under Google’s privacy policy.

When you get in touch

If you email about a booking, your name, email address and event details are used to reply, arrange the booking and keep business records. Email is handled by Microsoft 365. Booking details are kept for as long as the booking needs them and for tax records (normally up to six years), then deleted.

The legal basis is taking steps towards, or carrying out, a contract with you, and the legitimate interest in running the business.

Who your data is shared with

Only the service providers named above (Google for hosting, Microsoft for email), who process it on Matt’s behalf. Your data is never sold. These providers may process data outside the UK, under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

Ticket links, the song request page and social media links take you to other websites, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data held about you, or object to how it’s used. Email bookings@mattkeddie.co.uk. If you’re unhappy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
